Aguas Claras

Aguas Claras is owned by an artist, Elizabeth Steinvorth, who has used her trained eye and creative skills to great effect in the decor and design of the hotel. Interiors have whitewashed walls and large windows, making them feel light and bright, with works by local artists and carefully sourced recycled items adding a Caribbean flavour. These go hand in hand with 21st century necessities such as air conditioning and Wi-Fi, but without loosing the overall atmosphere of this coastal retreat. The well tended gardens are a haven for birds, and include fountains, a swimming pool and Casa Gandhi, the hotel’s yoga and meditation space. Papaya Restaurant, next to the pool, serves tasty dishes made from fresh local ingredients, and the adjoining bar offers a range of drinks including special cocktails. The hotel has a relaxed yet grown up feel and has a minimum age of 12 years.
