Arenal Springs Resort & Spa

Just 7km outside La Fortuna is the Arenal Springs Resort & Spa. Here the rooms have fantastic views of the Arenal volcano, in fact, the whole resort does, from the pool, hot springs and the restaurant –the conical volcano dominates the skyline. Each of the simple and spacious suites has their own veranda, while there are 87 suites and 3 master suites, each does feel private. They are built in extensive grounds surrounded by established gardens. There are two swimming pools and four hot pools of varying temperatures, all with spectacular views to enjoy as you relax. There are three restaurants offering varied fare from local to a casual Italian, and you can always stop off at the poolside bar for a drink. If exploring nearby Arenal National Park is too exhausting then this is the perfect place to relax, indulge in a pampering treatment in the on-site spa.

Arenal volcanoWhy go to Arenal Springs Resort & Spa?

Arenal Springs Resort and Spa is the perfect place to stay when visiting this area.  It is located just 7km from La Fortuna, but with three on-site restaurants, two pools and four hot springs, you may wish to stay put when you are not out exploring the area.  The hot springs are available for guests throughout their stay and great place to relax.  Alternatively the luscious hotel gardens are a fabulous spot to while away some free time.  It’s not far to go to sample the delights and active adventures that Arenal National Park has to offer from white-water rafting to zip-lines, or just hiking – there is plenty to keep you active here.  It is also possible to visit Caño Negro Wildlife Reserve on a day trip and experience this area and it’s wildlife from the water.

slothWildlife around Arenal Springs Resort & Spa

Being close to rainforest and protected areas such as Caño Negro Wildlife Reserve and the Arenal Volcano National Park, this place is not short of wildlife. You could see monkeys, tapirs, sloths, bats and of course, a great variety of birds. See them whilst hiking, or see them from the water for a different perspective. There is an influx of migratory birds from February to April so it’s a good time to come for birders. The resort itself has beautiful verdant gardens for you to enjoy full of birds, insects, butterflies and stunning flora. Take the time to go for a stroll on site, or simply relax on your veranda and let nature come to you.
